Optimize Workshop Layout To Improve Production Efficiency

Qingdao King Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd. has recently completed an optimization and adjustment of its workshop layout: the aluminum alloy welding process has been upgraded to a dedicated welding workshop, expanding the workspace for welding stations and creating a more open layout with clearer division of tasks, effectively improving production efficiency. The former welding station area has been reorganized as part of the assembly workshop, while the machining workshop remains in its original location.

After the layout optimization of the workshop, the following improvements were achieved in terms of production efficiency:

1. Increased efficiency in welding operations: The aluminum welding area was set up independently as a separate workshop, which expanded the working space, clarified the division of labor, avoided interference among processes, reduced operation waiting time, and improved welding output.

2. More efficient material flow: The original welding area was moved to the assembly workshop, shortening the distance for transporting workpieces, reducing handling time and damage from collisions, and making process coordination more efficient.

3. Easier on-site management: The welding, assembly, and machining areas were clearly separated, facilitating production scheduling and process quality control, and reducing interference that causes errors.

4. Improved quality and safety: The independent workshop is conducive to controlling welding smoke and dust, reducing welding defects and component damage, and minimizing rework and repairs.

5. Better prepared for expansion: The welding workshop was reserved with sufficient space, allowing for the addition of equipment and personnel as needed to enhance the ability to handle orders.
